Development & Evaluation

Jordi is an economist and specializes in the development of the private sector. In the last 15 years he has worked as an independent evaluator for international aid development programmes of the European Commission and the United Nations (UNDP, UNFPA) in 50 countries across Asia, Africa, Latin America and Europe.

His professional experience combines three passions: the measurement and understanding of change processes (evaluation), the why and how these are generated (research), and the communication and sharing of results (lecturing).

Jordi is co-founder and head of international development at EU-Asia Global Research Centre (Globiz) of the EADA Business School in Barcelona.

He currently leads a research project which analyses the relationship between organizational culture and company well-being. The research is sponsored by Globiz and seeks to develop innovative evaluation methods to measure the impact of the private sector.

Jordi is an associate professor at the Maastricht School of Management, where he is finalising his doctorate, and an accredited evaluation trainer of the European Commission. He is also a visiting professor at the Business School of the University of Nanjing, P.R. China. He is married, lives in Barcelona and combines his passion for reading with his studies of the Chinese language and percussion instruments.
